MAFS 2024 bride Cassandra found ‘the one’, but life had different plans for her
In the MAFS 2024 debut episode, Cassandra, 30, confessed her high school sweetheart, the one she believed she would one day marry, was tragically killed.
“We were together for eight years. And then, one day, he was gone. Motorbike accident,” she told the crew.

The pair were together since the age of 14 when he sadly passed away, aged 23. Young and madly in-love, the couple had planned their future together.
“We would have definitely married, had kids, silly matching shirts, vacations, he was… yeah,” she said.

In a recent interview with TV WEEK, Cassandra confessed it was her ‘biggest heartbreak’.
“For me, like it was end game – he was the one. And then life was like, nope, just kidding,” she explained.
For roughly three or four years, Cassandra “blocked” out the world, admitting she was in a “very dark space.” But by applying for MAFS, she hoped to find help with the dates, calls, and messages, telling TV WEEK she was “so tired.”
